If you building a mid range or powerfull street 460 big block, then the Edelbrock 7566 RPM Air Gap intake manifold is the one of the best upgrades you can do. The improved throttle response & mid range torque is amazing while still allowing the big block to rev well through to 6500 rpm (depenidng on camshaft choice)

This big block ford intake manifold is designed for street and high performance 429/460+ c.i.d. Ford V8's with standard or Cobra Jet heads. The RPM Air-Gap 460 intake is a dual plane Air Gap design that's perfect for Street cruisers and tough streeters wanting that extra rpm out of a dual plane intake. The Edelbrcok Ford 460 Air-Gap intake design features an open air space that separates the runners from the hot engine oil resulting in a cooler, denser charge for more power. It also features a larger cross sectional area (3.3 square inches) than the Performer RPM 460 manifold #7166 intake manifold for even more power in high performance and large displacement engines. The carb mount flange accepts both square-bore and spread-bore carbs for Cobra Jet applications. Will not fit 1988 and later models. Note: Early Cobra Jets came with Quadrajets.

• Installation Notes: 
  • Recommended intake gasekts: Edelbrock 7223 or Felpro 1230 & 1231
  • Use RTV silicone on the end seals. 
  • Use hardened washers when bolting down the manifold to stop galling of the aluminium.
