TCI 451922 is a 10" Super StreetFighter high stall torque converter for later Ford C4 / C10 automatic transmissions. It suits 1970–1979 C4 applications with a 26-spline input, 11.4" bolt circle and dipstick mounted into the transmission pan.

This converter is commonly used behind Ford Cleveland and Windsor street/strip combinations that need a higher launch RPM than a standard converter can provide. Expected Stall Speed

Expected stall speed is approximately 3500–3800 RPM behind small block Ford combinations and approximately 3800–4000 RPM behind higher-torque big block combinations. Actual stall speed will vary depending on engine torque, camshaft, compression, vehicle weight, gearing, tyre size and how the car is used.

Do not choose a high stall converter from the RPM number alone. Converter choice needs to match the full combination. A converter that is too tight will make a larger camshaft lazy off the line. A converter that is too loose can make the car unpleasant on the street. Because apparently drivability still matters, despite what every bloke with a “race car” number plate claims.
