Edelbrock 8849 Water Pump 1970-79 Ford 351 Cleveland engine polished ideal to prevent overheating in street rods and street machines, as well as in tow rigs and motorhomes. Available for most popular applications, these high performance pumps flow in only one direction for optimum efficiency. The casting's computer-designed internal passages and precision powdered metal impeller produce the maximum flow rate possible.

#8844 is a standard rotation water pump for 1970-79 351-C and 351-M/400 engines; The pump is a direct replacement for the original equipment pump (Ford #DOAZ-8501-E) to provide compatibility with all accessories and pulleys; Not for reverse rotation V8s with serpentine drive belt; Installation is the same as for original equipment water pumps. Consult service manual for specific procedures, if necessary; Be sure that fan bolts don't protrude through the hub so far that they hit the water pump housing; SPECIAL NOTES: Check closely for any interference with drive belts, some filing for clearance may be necessary with some applications
