TRANSMISSION OVERVIEW

TCI has been building drag race transmissions for over 40 years, and we go the extra mile to ensure your transmission is superior in both form and function to what you would purchase at a local transmission shop. Beginning with a careful inspection of the transmission case and components, stock parts are replaced with high performance bands and components where applicable. We also increase fluid flow and improve the lubrication system and thrust capacity. Problematic hard parts are replaced with stronger ones, many of which are manufactured at TCI in-house machining centers. Valve bodies are completely remanufactured and 100 percent tested prior to installation. Finally, each and every TCI® transmission must pass both a static hydraulic pressure test during assembly and a final dyno test prior to shipping. That's Triple Tested so you can be confident you're getting a transmission that's ready to perform.

Designed for the serious full-tree bracket racer, TCI Transbrake Transmissions deliver the quickest and most consistent reaction times in the business. These transmissions are blue-printed and built one unit at a time to ensure that you get quality parts. Designed for horsepower ranges of up to 750 horsepower, they are able to withstand the rigorous use of week-to-week racing and back-to-back passes. Available in both reverse and standard patterns (on select models only); Pro Tree versions are available and have a “neutral” reverse for safety.

• Full manual valve bodies with full race clutches & bands allow for quicker shift timing and the ability to run higher line pressures than possible with an automatic shift transmission

• Higher line pressure makes it more difficult for clutches to slip under high loads

• Oversized sprags & races (where applicable) increase holding capacity; steel hubs increase durability and strength

• Improved lubrication system increases fluid sent to planetaries and internals

  Bellhousing not included. These transmissions are shipped without the speedometer driven gear or it’s housing. If replacing the same model of transmission, these may be re-used from existing. If not, they must be purchased separately. Will only fit models with large bellhousing.
