Tested & Curved Upgrade
Unlike a standard out-of-the-box distributor, these Cruzer Ready To Run distributors have been independently tested and ignition has been re-curved to suit mild & hot camshafts
The curve is aimed at warm to hot street cam combinations. With warm and hot cams, the ignition curve needs to suit the higher power bands. The Cruzer Curved distributor range makes these a better match for tougher Windsor builds on a budget!
- Average mechanical advance: approx 16 degrees
- Advance all-in: approx 3600 rpm
- Example: if you want 32 degrees total timing, set the initial timing at 16 degrees
- Important: always check final timing with a timing light on your engine combination
Looking for an economical way to enhance the spark output of your Windsor Falcon, Mustang or muscle car? Grab one of these Cruzer Ready To Run distributors. Built to use the Bosch style cap, rotor button and side-mounted module.
For easier lead selection, they come with a choice of two caps: HEI terminal or the more traditional female socket type cap. This makes life easier when purchasing leads and saves the weekend drama.
A perfect ready to run distributor to drop into your 289, 302W or 347 stroker Windsor.
Finished in an OEM Cast look. Great for that restoration look to suit all enging bays.
IMPORTANT NOTES - for set up & diagnosis.
Must use a modern electronic ignition coil to match the Bosch style BIM024 module. The canister style coil is to have approx 0.5 to 0.8 ohms across the terminals. Using a standard points-style coil (approx 3.0ohms) with these HEI module distributors will cause poor spark and can burn out the module. Using an ultra low CD coil will draw too much amperage and burn out the module.
