This Complete Gasket Set for 1966-87 Small-Block (LA) Chrysler V8 Engines. Includes Cylinder Head, Exhaust & Intake Manifold, Water Outlet, and Valve Cover Gaskets. End seals are not included in this kit.

Edelbrock recommends the use of silicone sealant in place of end seals. End seals are not included in this kit.

Chrysler V8 318, 340, 360 head gasket installation orientation: 

*Main coolant holes to the rear of the cylinder block - opposite end to the belt drive.

The water pump feeds coolant into the front of the 340 block. Blocking the large front deck opening forces coolant rearward through the block, then upward through the large rear gasket opening and forward through the cylinder head. Then out the manifold water neck. If one gasket has its large opening at the front, that bank short-circuits the cooling path and the rear cylinders can run hot.
