The machined center section is thicker than stock for increased torque capacity, while the complete unit is e-coated for durability as well as rust and corrosion protection. Precisely controlled run-out helps prevent interference from the starter to the ring gear and results in better balance along with less vibration and wear. Designed with a 164-tooth ring gear and exclusive to TCI®, the Ford Mustang 5.0L Coyote Machined Flexplate is designed for 2011 and newer Mustangs, along with other applications utilizing a Ford 6R80 transmission. It is compatible with both 457000-series and stock torque converters.
