The first step into serious high performance, the TCI Breakaway is an excellent torque converter for moderately modified street machines, weekend racers and vehicles that are also daily driven. It provides approximately 2200–2600 RPM flash stall, depending on the engine combination, without negatively affecting part-throttle driving.

Designed for efficient highway cruising and hard launches at wide-open throttle, the Breakaway® is a fantastic all-round street-performance torque converter.

This TH350/TH400 converter is built “tight” for excellent street manners but still allows the engine to flash into its usable torque range when you stand on the accelerator pedal—the best of both worlds for street and strip use.
