TCI remote TPS switch & cable are designed to for your carburetor in the same way as a GM transmission throttle valve cable (TV cable). Edelbrock has a TPS brackets option to help you install your remote TPS to the carby, see the option below. 

Send a TPS signal from your non-computer-controlled engine. This throttle position sensor is packaged in a compact, fully enclosed housing to protect moving parts from damage or malfunction. Adjustable to a wide range of applications with 4L60E or 4L80E transmissions, it is designed to be installed on the carburetor or mounted directly to the firewall.

To utilize any computer-directed engine management system, you have to know the position of the throttle at all times. Vehicles equipped with electronic fuel injection (EFI) feature a throttle position sensor (TPS) on their throttle body. Carbureted applications don’t feature a TPS but when running the TCI EZ-TCU Transmission Controller and other aftermarket controllers, a TPS is a necessity. So TCI offers what is referred to as a “Remote TPS” that doesn’t have to be placed directly on the carburetor but can be placed in a “remote” location. The TCI Remote TPS provides a throttle position reference that allows any carbureted application to use the popular TCI transmission management electronics.

NOTES:  

• TCI Remote TPS 377450 is for use with aftermarket ECM and transmission controllers. This will not work with a factory ECM.
• TCI Remote TPS 377450 would work on a Holley carburetor, but TCI GM Overdrive bracket 376705 would be needed.
