Comp Cams 31-1000, Hydraulic Roller lifter installation guide / holder kit provides a complete, convenient solution for the retrofitting of OEM type drop in hydraulic roller lifters into Ford 289-351 Windsors and 302 / 351 Clevealands C-400M.
By using this kit, you are able to install the OEM Drop in style single hydraulic roller lifters into the early blocks. The drop in style lifters use 2 x flat surfaces on the lifter and a "Dog Bone" guide holds them into place with a sprung steel tray. The cylinder block valley needs to drilled and tapped for the screws to hold down the tray.
*Fitting this kit to the Cleveland may require machining on the cylinder valley wall for clearance to allow the dog bones to sit square on the deck.
