TCI 461400 Characteristics: 

For Competition / Drag Racing Applications. Works well with Strokers and Standard Stroke combinations where power is produced between 4,500 and 7,000 rpm. You'll maintain engine rpm between shifts with their efficient design, and gain improved reliability with an oversize caged bearing supporting a new stator.

TCI 10" Drag Race Torque Converters can be run in applications with up to 750 horsepower and are most commonly used for a bracket race or street/strip application that leans more toward the "strip." Stall speeds vary depending on application but the average is 3800-4500 RPM.

All of the TCI® race converters incorporate aftermarket high-load sprags, furnace-brazed and reinforced fins, needle bearings and hardened steel pump hubs.

Furnace-brazed and reinforced fins increase durability. Needle bearings reduce drag and increase thrust capacity. Three sets of Torrington bearings replace normal thrust washers used in OEM and some aftermarket converters to triple the thrust capacity capabilities. Hardened steel pump hubs increase strength, durability and longevity while decreasing wear. Increased strength and holding capacity of high load sprags ensure stator stays locked when converter stalls and guarantees converter will stall correctly run after run.
