Edelbrock part #2856 Valley Plate is the bedding plate portion of a two-piece (valley plate and spider) manifold system. It is intended for use with Raised Port SBC heads on tall deck engine blocks.

Edelbrock Spider intake manifold lifter Valley coolant plates are designed with integrated water passages in order to eliminate the need for external plumbing when using Edelbrock's Victor 13-18 degree cylinder heads and Victor Spider intake manifolds. They will retain all stock water passage connections on the block without the need for any modifications. The plates are available in two configurations--one is machined for use with standard applications and will retain the stock distributor location and angle, and the other features 1/2 in. more material on the flange and end rails, allowing for custom machining on tall deck engine blocks and eliminating the need for any spacers.
