ARP Cleveland main stud kits help reduce main cap walk with the high stresses placed on the 351 Cleveland main caps. Under high load, Clevelands experience walk/fretting and requies more clamping load. ARP Main Studs also protect the threads in your engine block as the nut on the stud is doing the work and not the thread in the block. ARP main studs are made from 8740 chromoly steel and heat-treated in-house to 190,000 psi tensile-strength rating.
